A fire in the underground parking lot of a residential building in Javea has been extinguished by members of the Alicante Provincial Fire Consortium. The fire originated in a vehicle and ultimately impacted two cars and a motorbike.
A vehicle fire was reported to firefighters at 9:00 p.m. on Friday night, July 25th, in a residential location on Avenida Lepando in Javea.
The fire was prevented from spreading to the vehicles located in the car park by the “prompt arrival” of firefighters. Firefighters employed mechanical ventilation to eliminate the “substantial quantity” of smoke and toxins emanating from the fire.
Ultimately, the fire caused damage to two vehicles, one of which was a hybrid, and a motorbike. A command post unit, a heavy urban fire department, a heavy tanker unit, a heavy rural fire department with a sergeant, two corporals, and seven firefighters from the Dénia fire stations, as well as the Xà bia summer mobile unit, were all involved in the operation, which concluded at 1:34 a.m.
