The local authorities in the Alicante municipality of Denia have rescued two children, aged 4 and 6, who were swept out to sea by the wind and were without life jackets or adult supervision on a local beach.
The Dénia Local Police posted a message on social media, stating that their swift intervention averted a tragedy. The message also emphasises the importance of constant supervision for children in the water.
The local police rescue boat is depicted in the image that accompanies the police message, as it is en route to the two kids, who are seated on a board some distance from the shoreline.
If you have children and taking them anywhere near water always remember the 10/20 rule for child safety
