To enhance the security of coastal public spaces, the National Police have implemented a special deployment on Benidorm’s beaches to prevent offences such as theft and robbery. This operation is a combination of aerial surveillance with drones by the Aerial Resources Unit and ground units from the Prevention and Reaction Unit and Operational Response Group of the Benidorm Police Station.

Police presence has increased on the municipality’s busiest beaches with the advent of summer. Drones conduct reconnaissance flights along the coastline, capturing real-time images that facilitate the rapid identification of illicit activity or suspicious situations. Aerial surveillance is integrated with ground patrols to facilitate immediate action in the event of an emergency.

The beach areas are perpetually patrolled by officers from the Prevention and Reaction Unit and the Operational Response Group, who are present both on foot and in vehicles.
