Although Spain’s official reports have only reported one fatality from gunfire and three suspects arrested in Torrevieja yesterday, a variety of Turkish media outlets reported today that “Caner Koçer, who identified himself as the leader of the Dalton gang, responsible for numerous bloody attacks in recent times, died after being the victim of an armed attack in Spain.”
According to journalist Emrullah Erdinç, Caner Koçer, one of the commanders of the notorious gang, is deceased. The Daltons are “renowned for employing young individuals under the age of 18 as hitmen in exchange for substantial sums of money” and for influencing them through social media, as per reports compiled by the Istanbul press.
The Daltons are “one of the new criminal organisations that are attracting young people through social media platforms like TikTok,” according to CNN news in Turkey.
