According to local sources, firefighters from the Alicante Fire Prevention, Extinction, and Rescue Service (SPEIS) successfully rescued an elderly woman who had been trapped in her home on Playa de San Juan for approximately 18 hours after collapsing in her living room.
The woman was rescued after a firefighter climbed down the facade from the upper floor and accessed the balcony, as observed by her neighbours.
The SPEIS rescue operation was conducted in the Las Sirenas residential area, located on Avenida Costablanca. The neighbours, who were present during the operation, applauded when the firefighter was able to enter the residence.
According to neighbourhood sources, the woman is in excellent health, despite being trapped for approximately 18 hours following the accidental fall.
