This morning, Friday August 8th, a man was ensnared between the rocks on the shore in Torrevieja, resulting in a series of agonising moments.
The circumstance caused a commotion in the vicinity of the natural pools on the Juan Aparicio promenade, which was crowded with swimmers at the time.
The Provincial Consortium dispatched medical, police, and firefighter resources to this location in the city of Alicante in an effort to rescue the man.
Apparently, he had been unable to escape after falling into the hollow of the rocks in this area of the Cura beach breakwater. Consequently, an operation was initiated to free him. To extract one of the enormous rocks, it was necessary to break it up and use a crane.
The operation, which lasted nearly three hours from the initial call for help at ten o’clock in the morning, concluded with the successful ejection of the 35-year-old trapped individual, who is purportedly believed to have fallen while attempting to retrieve a container. Ultimately, he sustained only minor injuries and bruises as a result of his encounter with the rocks.
