Body of a man found off the coast of Torrevieja

On Wednesday, August 6th, a man’s corpse was discovered off the coast of Torrevieja, Alicante.

The body of a man wearing a swimsuit and diving apparatus was discovered on one of the Cala Redonda beaches on the coast.

The Guardia Civil was mobilised after witnesses reported the situation to Emergency Services at 6:40 p.m. on Wednesday evening, and the body was subsequently discovered.

The Emergency Information and Coordination Centre (CICU) has verified that no resources were ultimately mobilised to assist the alleged swimmer after his demise was confirmed.

The Guardia Civil has assumed responsibility for the investigation into the cause of his demise at this maritime location.
