In Granadella Cove, Javea, a 60-year-old male sustained severe injuries to his right foot as a result of a boat propeller. The haemorrhaging was promptly controlled, and immediate treatment was administered by Red Cross rescuers upon their arrival at the scene. The injured individual was stabilised by the SAMU medical team, who were summoned to provide assistance due to the severity of the injuries (eyewitnesses reported a near-complete amputation of the foot).
An emergency airlift was arranged due to the urgency of the situation. The patient was transported to La Fe Hospital in Valencia by a medical helicopter from the SAMU (National Medical Unit), which landed on territory near the La Cala residential area. The landing site was secured to assure safety during the operation by a collaboration of numerous Local Police and Guardia Civil patrols.
