Two fugitives who were sought by France for homicide, arms trafficking, drug trafficking, and money laundering have been arrested by the Benidorm National Police. Both individuals were concealed in a residential villa on the Alicante coast, which was equipped with numerous security measures to prevent potential investigations.
One of the individuals who was sought was apprehended at a nightclub in the municipality. The General Directorate of Police announced that the second fugitive was discovered inside the residence following a search.

In total, they were issued four European arrest warrants for these offences, for which they are at risk of receiving a 40-year prison sentence. Officers initiated the investigation upon receiving information from French authorities that the fugitives may be concealing themselves in Spain.
Both individuals are purportedly sought for a variety of incidents that transpired in 2024 and are associated with distinct criminal organisations that specialise in drug trafficking within the nation. One of the fugitives, in response to the previous kidnapping of his companion as a result of his criminal activity, organised a shooting.
