A series of informative talks has been organised by the Beaches Department of Benidorm Council, which is managed by Mónica Gómez, to increase awareness among beach users regarding the importance of posidonia.
In a scientific talk entitled “Posidonia: The Underwater Treasure of Coastal Ecosystems,” Sandra Cristina Gómez Durán, a specialist in Waste Management and Natural Environment Management and a graduate in Environmental Sciences from the University of Murcia, will inform swimmers about the significance of posidonia in the marine environment and its role in preventing beach erosion.

The talks will be at the Elche Park beach library on August 20th at 12:00 noon, and the final session will be held at the Levante beach library on Wednesday, August 27th at noon.
