The Orihuela City Council has been granted judicial authorisation by the Administrative Court No. 1 of Elche to access the expropriated land of the Bellavista Community in Cabo Roig. This authorisation is a critical step in the process of completing the occupation of 142.32 m², which is allocated for the opening of the Cabo Roig Seafront Promenade.
The resolution, which was issued today, Tuesday August 19th, 2025, acknowledges the general interest and authorises the City Council to proceed with the acquisition and development of the approximately 30-meter segment between the public parking lot on Calle Levante and the Aguamarina Callisthenics Park.

Mayor Pepe Vegara underscored that this marks the conclusion of “a protracted and intricate process, which was accompanied by all legal safeguards.” He also stated that it will enable residents and visitors to reclaim one of the most iconic locations on the Orihuela coast.
