Denia Local Police carried out a special traffic control operation that resulted in 13 traffic violations, four positive cases (one for drugs and three for alcohol), and a police report for driving without a licence. One of the citations was issued to an individual for throwing a cigarette butt out of a vehicle window. This act is always punishable, but it is even more significant on the day in question, as Denia and the entire Marina Alta are currently on alert for the highest risk of forest fires, as is the case today.
Additionally, 23 bottles of alcohol were confiscated by the police during a drinking incident that occurred on the northern breakwater of the port.
The 13 complaints that were submitted are categorised as follows:
- 5 complaints for irregularities in driving licenses.
- 2 complaints for ITV.
- 4 for not wearing a seatbelt and 1 for not wearing a helmet on a moped.
- 1 complaint for excess occupants.
- 1 report for throwing a cigarette butt out of a vehicle window (extreme fire risk).
