In Benidorm, the ceiling is the limit, and there are those who are willing to confront it. The newest endeavour in the city of skyscrapers, TM Tower, is still being teased by TM Real Estate Group. The company has finally confirmed that the residential complex in question will be the tallest in Europe, and consequently, in Benidorm. The building had previously been announced as a potential addition to the skyscraper list. It envisions a 64-story structure that stands at a height of 230 meters.
The well-known neighbouring Intempo, which had previously held the title of Europe’s tallest residential complex with a height of 202 meters and 49 storeys, has been dethroned by the new project in the Poniente area developed by the Torrevieja developer. The Gran Hotel Bali, which was once the crown treasure of Benidorm, is now a distant memory.
One of TM’s most closely guarded secrets was revealed when they disclosed that the tallest residential building in Europe was located in Benidorm. The event scheduled for September will provide a comprehensive explanation of the building’s height. Currently, it is known that the property will be incorporated into the land pool acquired in the Partial Plan 2/1 Poniente. Additionally, it will feature apartments with one to four bedrooms and common areas, including a sky bar with an observatory, a gym, a cinema room and a sports area.
TM has developed a significant number of the most recent new properties in the Poniente area of Benidorm. It has continued construction after construction after acquiring the land block in the 2/1 Poniente Partial Plan. It is presently in the process of completing the second block of its signature Sunset Waves, Sunset Cliffs, and Sunset Sailors. Two properties remain unfinished in this urban development plan: the public one, which was previously intended for a senior living area, and the commercial one, which was previously intended for a hotel. Its investment in Benidorm does not conclude there; it has constructed a building on the front line of Poniente, Ocean Drive, as well as Sunset Drive and the La Ermita del Mediterráneo development in Tossal.
Despite the Torrevieja company’s ongoing interest in the city, it is making progress by acquiring land in Murtal and Ciudad Médico Residencial.
Additional high-rise proposals
This will not be the sole high-rise structure to be built in the Poniente region. The Gran Delfin Private Residences & Hotel, situated on the beachfront, is also set to commence construction. This structure, which will be 44 storeys high and 158 meters in height, will be divided into residential and hotel accommodations in a unique formula that is not widely recognised in the city.
