A 45-year-old man shot the employee after being expelled from a Vega Baja nightclub, where a dispute between a customer and a bouncer nearly resulted in tragedy.
The man has been arrested in Almoradà on charges of attempted murder, and the confrontation took place on July 1st.
Following his initial eviction, the customer returned several hours later to confront the doorman. When he was unable to re-enter, the customer shot him in the abdomen from close range and left in a vehicle.
The shooting resulted in severe injuries necessitating emergency surgery.
The Alicante Judicial Police Organic Unit, specifically the Almoradà Judicial Police Team, initiated the investigation that same evening.
Investigators narrowed the suspect’s identity by undertaking a variety of investigations and examining the surrounding area. They discovered that the escape vehicle belonged to a relative. The gunman was identified by utilising all the information that was obtained.
Officers were able to identify a residence in the province of Murcia where the suspect may be concealing himself as the investigation advanced. They conducted a search and seizure with the assistance of the Rural Security Group (GRS) in Barcelona.
Upon entering, the investigators verified that the suspect had fled and continued their operational endeavours to locate him.
In the end, on July 30th, the alleged perpetrator, who has a history of multiple convictions, was apprehended in Almoradà and held under the custody of the Investigating Court No. 1 of Orihuela, which subsequently ordered his imprisonment.
