Denia began the second edition of Diva Dénia Music Pride with a significant gesture: the painting of a multicoloured pedestrian crossing in the Quatre Cantons neighbourhood, in the heart of the city centre. This intervention promotes diversity, inclusion, and visibility for all individuals, regardless of sexual orientation or identity.
The Council’s tagline, “There’s room for everyone in our city,” emphasised Denia’s commitment to equality and respect. The pedestrian crossing now has the colours of the LGBTQ+ and trans flags, combining urban mobility with pride and joy.
Diva Denia Music Pride: Music, Celebration, and Vindication
The effort is part of the Diva Denia Music Pride event, which will took place on Saturday, August 30th an event that mixed live music, entertainment, and a joyous atmosphere while spreading a message of equality and diversity throughout the city.
A visible gesture that transcends asphalt
With this intervention, Denia decorates its streets and reaffirms its dedication to inclusivity. The rainbow pedestrian crossing is intended to be a symbol that residents and visitors would see, reminding them that the city is an open space proud of its variety.
The second edition of Diva Denia Music Pride strengthens its position as a cultural and advocacy hub in Marina Alta, with a program that fosters participation, celebration, and exposure for all populations.
