A total of 1,246 persons will sit the exam tomorrow, Saturday, September 6th, in Alicante for one of the 3,118 Guardia Civil positions available this year. Of these applicants, 398 are female and 848 are male. The province is one of twenty places around the country where the first phase of the exam will be administered simultaneously.
The knowledge and psychometric tests were taken by 27,614 candidates nationwide, accounting for 32.36% of the total population (8,936 women). The level of academic preparation is also high: 9,754 university graduates, 980 with master’s degrees and 15 with doctorates. The average age of the candidates is 27.
The competitive examination phase includes four tests: knowledge (theoretical and psychological), physical, personal interview, and medical exam. This Saturday’s exam includes general knowledge, language, spelling, grammar, and psychological assessments.
Those who receive sufficient scores will proceed to the physical tests, which comprise an agility course, a two-kilometer run, a push-up strength test, and a 50-meter swim. After passing these, candidates will be subjected to a personal interview to determine their psychological suitability, as well as a medical assessment to ensure their health and physical fitness.
