According to a statement from the National Police, a man and a woman were arrested in Murcia for being inside a van with bogus license plates and kicking and punching many officers during their detention.
The incident occurred when authorities doing public safety preventative work noticed a parked van with its back door pried open.
The officers phoned the owner, who informed them that her automobile was temporarily parked in Yecla, allowing them to confirm that the two vehicles shared the same license plate.
Upon additional inspection, the authorities uncovered two occupants inside the van and identified them. After determining that the van had false license plates, they were both arrested for accused document fraud.
During the arrest, the two people attacked the officers, kicking and hitting them.
Several goods were discovered inside the vehicle that may be used to perpetrate crimes such as theft, robbery with force or violence, and forgery, as well as a driver’s license that had been reported stolen and belonged to someone else.
Those detained were taken to court, and the person largely responsible for the event was remanded in custody.
