Enrique Baca and Lucía Albarracín will present “The Genetics of Suicide: A Smartomics Study,” highlighting recent scientific achievements. Rafael Mora and María Pardo will lead an examination of the link between suicide and significant mental diseases, including depression and first psychotic episodes.
The role of educational centres as prevention agents will also be highlighted at the congress, with a roundtable discussion titled “Suicide Prevention in the Classroom,” organised by the General Directorate of Educational Innovation and Inclusion and the Directorate of Mental Health and Addictions and moderated by Ricardo Recuero, Councillor for Education at Torrevieja City Council.
