An 88-year-old man drowned yesterday morning,Tuesday September 9th, on Poniente Beach in Benidorm (Alicante), according to health officials.
At around 11:30 a.m., the Emergency Information and Coordination Centre (CICU) received notified of the incident, prompting the dispatch of an ambulance from the Emergency Medical Assistance Service (SAMU).
The medical team conducted advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and other stabilisation methods on the guy, but he did not respond, and his death was confirmed. An autopsy will determine the cause.
