According to the Emergency Coordination Centre, a 50-year-old male was critically hurt and a 36-year-old woman sustained minor injuries when two cars collided on the AP-7 motorway in San Pedro del Pinatar.
1-1-2 got many reports reporting the collision at 1:03 p.m. on the aforementioned route, near kilometre 775 and headed towards Alicante.
The callers stated that one of the victims was injured and stuck inside the vehicle. Guardia Civil patrols, firefighters from the Murcia Region Fire and Rescue Consortium (CEIS), and ambulances staffed by paramedics from the 061 Emergency Department were sent to the location.
After being stabilised, the injured were taken to Los Arcos del Mar Menor Hospital in San Javier.
