The Santa Pola Local Police, through its security task force for the 2025 Patron Saint Festivities, has devised a specific operation to assure the safety, well-being, and smooth operation of the festivities and stalls.
Thanks to the officers’ preventive work and quick action, the week of celebrations went smoothly, with no cases of alcohol intoxication among minors and complete control of the drinking in the Valencian Community Park, with no glass controls to avoid incidents like those in previous years.
During the operation, over 150 narcotics, knives, and other forbidden things were seized, and numerous complaints were lodged for uncivil behaviour, such as peeing in public.
In addition, one person was detained for trafficking tusi (a pink narcotic that is extremely dangerous to one’s health) in a neighbourhood frequented by youngsters, as were numerous others for disturbing public order.
The operation included police canines and handlers, as well as policemen with vast drug dealing experience, who worked tirelessly to prevent drug use among young people, resulting in a safer and healthier celebratory environment.
With these efforts, the Santa Pola Local Police underlines its commitment to citizen safety and the efficient operation of the patron saint events, resulting in a very beneficial end.
