A fire broke out in a house in Novelda on Wednesday, September 17th, sparking a major response from the Alicante Provincial Fire Consortium. The fire began in one room and swiftly spread across the building, resulting in a considerable amount of smoke and forcing numerous inhabitants into preventative confinement.
Rapid intervention of firefighters
A command unit (UMJ), a heavy urban pump (BUP), a fire engine (AEA), and eight personnel from the Elda station, comprising a sergeant, corporal, and six firefighters, were deployed to Calle Óscar Esplá number 17.
The fast response got the fire under control and kept it from spreading to other residences on the property. Despite the fire’s severity, no injuries were reported.
House affected by fire and smoke
The house where the fire began was extensively destroyed by flames and smoke, but the adjacent residences were able to return to normal after the operation was completed. The procedure ran from 5:36 p.m. to 8:14 p.m.
