Students of fifteen different nationalities will be trained in intellectual property and digital innovation at the University of Alicante (UA) through the Magister Lvcentinvs program, one of the most prestigious in the world, which opened its 32nd edition on Friday. The 35-student international program specialising in intellectual property and digital market innovation will begin this Friday with an inaugural ceremony. They were picked from individuals with a wide range of backgrounds and specialities, including law, international relations, economics, business administration and management, engineering, biotechnology, pharmacy, translation and interpretation, and advertising, among others.
The studies have drawn participants from law, international relations, economics, business administration and management, engineering, biotechnology, pharmacy, translation and interpretation, and advertising.
The occasion was hosted by Rosabel Roig, Vice-Rector for Continuing Education and Languages, who represented the Rector, Amparo Navarro, and was attended by top Intellectual Property Office officials. Key learning
This year, Lvcentinvs Master’s students will benefit from a program that allows them to learn firsthand about the most recent advances in the area, such as legal changes affecting the use of artificial intelligence in technology and intellectual property. “The study and management of intellectual property rights is seen as a fundamental competitive tool for technological development, since without a strategy for patents and other innovations , we would not have the technological advances that allow us to be competitive in a globalised world,” Pilar Montero, PhD, explained.
Furthermore, the master’s director stated that understanding brand management, design, and copyright “is essential for SMEs, freelancers, and other professionals who need to differentiate themselves in the market and achieve profitability in the dissemination and sale of products and business and creative initiatives in the globalised marketplace.”
