Emergency services says that a man in his 40s, whose name has not been made public, was found dead yesterday Saturday, October 3rd, inside a clothing recycling bin in Murcia.
It happened on Calle Mayor in the town of Puente Tocinos just before 7:00 a.m. Murcia Local Police called the emergency services to say that someone was stuck in a skip. A few neighbours saw what was going on and tried to help him, but they couldn’t.
An emergency medical unit was sent to the location, but the paramedics could only confirm that the person had died.
Waiting for the body to be examined
The coroner on duty was called and sent to the scene as well. The man’s body was sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Murcia for an autopsy to find out if he died in a violent way.
The National Police, who are in charge of the inquiry, will wait for the coroner’s report before moving forward. Sources close to the matter said that at first, there are no indicators of foul play. The same sources say that the authorities think it was a deadly accident that happened when the person was looking through the warehouse. Sources close to the investigation verified that the dead man was a homeless foreigner.
Any death could be a murder, a suicide, or an accident. The essential idea is that he was stuck within the container, which has a way of making the person who goes inside it suffocate. The investigation is still in its early stages, and all theories are still possible. However, the theory that the death was an accident is gaining ground.
something isn’t the first time something has happened in Murcia. In the Murcian district of La Alberca, a young guy was found dead in a skip full of clothes last year.
