Raúl Castaño is one of the finalists for Mr. RNB (National Beauty Pageant). He is from Elche and is competing in Alicante. He is 26 years old and has a degree in psychology. He works at Miguel Hernández University.
He has a master’s degree in labour sciences, which is in the field of human resources. He is also working on a master’s degree in general health psychology, which will allow her to work as a clinical psychologist.
Raúl says that his coworkers at the UMH don’t know the truth about his involvement in the competition. He has “separated the work aspect from the personal aspect,” and is now focused on getting his own findings out there.
He has always been interested in modelling. “The world of fashion has always interested me,” he admits. His grandfather told him to pursue modelling when he was young.
He was primarily interested in “the artistic world, the world of movies, and the world of acting.” He wanted to be “the image, so to speak,” for a brand, which meant showing off his attitude and presence.
The RNB competition wants to show more than just how you look. Raúl says, “They also look for certain qualities.” He goes on to say that the candidate must work with an NGO on a social initiative.
At 2.02 metres (6 Feet 7 inches), Raúl is taller than most of his friends. He says, “It’s easy to stand out from the rest of the group” when it comes to his height. He also says that at initially, he felt “a little out of place” because he had never modelled before.
But when it comes to “academic issues, studies, or training,” he says he hasn’t felt any different from the other applicants. He says he has reduced eleven kg since February and that his physical preparation has been quite hard.
Sports have always been a part of her life. He’s been swimming for eight years and going to the gym for more than four years to be in better shape. Right now, He is “building more muscle mass and trying to get better definition” so she can shine on stage.
Their current work is on the Care project, which will help the Carrús neighbourhood of Elche. The initiative looks at how the rising use of antidepressants and anti-anxiety drugs affects heart health.
Raúl is getting ready for the Alicante final, which will be in mid-November, by taking runway classes in San Juan. He is quite motivated: “In the end, when you enter, you always want to win,” he says.
