The man who is accused of trespassing and sexually assaulting his flatmate, whom he was supposedly treating as a psychologist and therapist, could get 10 years in prison.
The defendant and his wife and young daughter lived at a house in Alicante with the victim and her boyfriend.
The Prosecutor’s Office said that the man built a trusting relationship with the woman and told her he was a psychologist, and she consented to see him multiple times to help her with her mental health issues and insomnia. The defendant gave her medicine and advised her to sleep in a different room from her lover that night after a time of “treatment.”
The Public Prosecutor’s Office says that the man sexually assaulted the woman in the early morning while she was only partially awake and tried to fight him off. The next day, she understood what had happened and went to the police to make a complaint.
