The National Police have arrested a 43-year-old woman in Alicante who is accused of pretending to be a cosmetic doctor and doing a treatment on another lady that hurt her lips, mouth, and face and cost her 1,200 euros.
The investigation started when the victim filed a complaint and told police that she got these injuries after getting hyaluronic acid treatment. She said she met the woman through an ad on a well-known social media site, where the woman claimed to be a cosmetic doctor.
The police said in a statement that the victim thought this individual was qualified to do the therapy, even though she saw that the room where she got it wasn’t clean enough.
After getting therapy, the woman’s lips and mouth swelled up so much that she couldn’t eat normally for over a month. The symptoms were still obvious after that.
The officers started the investigation, and after several checks, they were able to fully identify the woman who was accused of causing the injuries. She was said to have done cosmetic medical procedures at her home without the proper training or qualifications to do so in Spain and without the right health permits.
The police located the suspect and arrested her for breaking into a company, committing fraud, and hurting someone. The Alicante duty court got all of the police reports.
