The Guardia Civil and the Almoradí Local Police have arrested a 28-year-old man for allegedly committing five robberies, four of which happened in the same early morning in various homes and cars in a residential area of the municipality.
An alarm went off at a property in a residential area of Almoradí in the early hours of October 22nd, and police were called. The people who lived there said that someone was inside their home. Because of this quick communication and the police’s quick presence at the incident, they were able to find and apprehend the culprit on a street close to where the alarm went off.
After the alleged criminal was caught, investigators looked at the evidence from three other robberies that happened in the same neighbourhood on the same day, as well as one that happened a few days earlier. They found that the alleged criminal was involved in three vehicle robberies and two home robberies.
Some of the stolen things were found during the operation, including a lot of tools. There is still a chance that more victims will be found.
The 28-year-old man who was arrested is now in the hands of the Court of Instruction No. 1 of Orihuela, which ordered his release with the implementation of preventive measures.
