The National Police are looking into a shooting in Marbella that hurt a man. Sources close to the investigation said that the event came to light when a patrol found two people in a car and saw that one of them had been shot in the leg. Officers called for an ambulance, which came to the site, treated the injured man, and then took him to the hospital. He is not in risk of dying.
The case is now in the hands of the Judicial Police, who will start the inquiry by talking to the two guys. So far, no one has been arrested in connection with the case.
The event came to light the day after the National Police showed off the great results of seven operations against organised crime on the Costa del Sol that its investigators had finished in the past month. These raids have led to 55 arrests and the confiscation of roughly nine tonnes of drugs and almost 40 weapons. Two attempted murders in Benalmádena and Málaga city, among other instances, have been solved.
