Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández Airport closed October with 17,220,070 passengers, which is 8.3% more than the same time last year. Valencia Airport had 10,083,151 passengers, which is 8.2% more than the same time last year.
Last month, the Alicante terminal had a record number of passengers: 1,902,792, which is 5.9% more than in October 2024. The Valencia terminal also had a “historic” month with 1,093,461 passengers, which is an 8.1% increase in passenger traffic, according to Aena.
Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández Airport has seen a 7.3% increase in foreign traffic, with 1,682,560 passengers. Domestic traffic, on the other hand, has dropped by 4.5% to 217,233 passengers.
In October, the United Kingdom had the most traffic at Alicante airport facilities, with 631,771 passengers. Germany came in second with 129,127, the Netherlands with 118,996, Belgium with 98,841, and Poland with 91,695.
At Valencia Airport, on the other hand, international traffic is still the most common type of traffic. In October, 830,800 people flew internationally, which is a 10.7% rise. Domestic traffic, on the other hand, dropped by 0.1% to 258,395 people. These numbers are for commercial flights and are compared to the same month last year.
The Valencia terminal had the most foreign passengers from Italy (175,677), followed by Germany (98,711), the Netherlands (87,870), the United Kingdom (84,477), and France (82,277).
Flights
Alicante airport experienced “the busiest October in its history” as it handled 11,931 flights, which is a 6.1% rise over the same month in 2024.
Valencia Airport, on the other hand, has handled 8,405 flights, which is 2.6% more than the same time last year. Also, with two months left in the year, this terminal has seen 78,779 movements, which is 6.4% more than the same months last year.
The Aena Group’s airports, which include 46 terminals and two heliports in Spain, London-Luton, and 17 in Brazil, had 35,099,396 passengers in October 2025, which was 4.5% more than in the same month of 2024. They also had 295,929 aircraft movements, which was 4.3% more, and they moved 150,175 tonnes of cargo, which was 9.3% more.
