Officers from the National Police have arrested a 24-year-old man living in the Murcian district of Monteagudo. He was wanted under a European Arrest Warrant for Extradition issued by Germany, where he is deemed responsible for a violent robbery.
Authorities became aware of the potential presence of this individual, sought by German officials, in the Region of Murcia. A surveillance and monitoring operation was set up at multiple locations throughout the city to ascertain the reason for his presence in Spain and to investigate any potential connections to other criminal activities akin to those outlined in the arrest warrant, as reported by sources from the National Police in a press release.
Throughout the investigation, the agents confirmed that the man was living in the Region, while police and judicial cooperation agencies validated the existence of a European Arrest Warrant for Extradition, EAW, issued by Germany, due to his involvement in a violent robbery committed there.
In October, the National Police officers arrested him in the village of Monteagudo (Murcia), and the judicial authority mandated his immediate imprisonment while awaiting extradition proceedings to Germany for the crime that led to the European arrest warrant.
