Police in Alicante have arrested a 32-year-old man for stealing the motor from a school’s air conditioning unit in the northern part of the city. This theft cost the institution 4,245 euros. According to a statement from the Police Headquarters, the accused left behind a document at the site that tied him directly to the theft.
The school caretaker saw that the power in the staff room was going out, so they called the city’s repair department. The maintenance staff looked at the installation and found that the problem was with the air conditioning unit. When they looked closer, they found that the motor was missing.
They also said in their complaint that they had found a paper with personal information about a man that the workers of the educational centre did not know.
The North Alicante Police Station’s judicial police officers, who were in charge of the case, used the document found at the crime scene to do some digging. Along with other police work, they were able to figure out who the suspect was in the robbery.
Finally, the investigators found the culprit and apprehended him as the person who was thought to have done the things that were reported. After the police looked into it, he was taken to the duty magistrates in the town of Alicante.
