A car hit a 44-year-old man in Málaga early on Sunday morning, November 23rd, and he died. The 112 Andalucía Emergency Service said that the collision happened on Calle Rotonda de Suárez. The driver who was involved in the accident later fled the area and was apprehended by local authorities.
Around 1:15 a.m., the event took place. People called emergency services to say that a car had hit a pedestrian, leaving the victim lying on the pavement with critical injuries. Witnesses say that the car that was involved then drove away from the site.
The Local and National Police, as well as the 061 health services, were sent to the scene from the coordination centre. They couldn’t save the life of the pedestrian, a 44-year-old man who died at the scene of the accident.
Sources say that the local police have detained the person who is believed to have caused the tragic hit-and-run for manslaughter due to gross carelessness. However, no more information has been made public. The Accident Investigation and Reports Group (GIAA) of the municipal police department is still looking into the occurrence.
