The Guardia Civil in Dolores and the Local Police in Albatera have arrested three people for drug trafficking. They were caught with varied amounts of different drugs during a joint operation. One of the people involved reacted violently and bit one of the Albatera municipal police officers in an attempt to avoid being arrested.
A pregnant woman was carrying most of the drugs that were taken, including a rock of more than 50 grammes of pure cocaine.
The events took place at 8:20 p.m. on October 26th, when several agents from the Guardia Civil’s Dolores Main Post and the Albatera Local Police were working together to find people and cars on the CV 909 conventional road in Albatera.
Doubts
The officers stopped a car with three people in it and began to identify them. The way the people acted made the officers suspicious. A comprehensive investigation found varying amounts of different drugs and a few dollar bills hidden in the occupants’ clothes.
One of the men tried to fight back when he found out he was going to be arrested for drug trafficking. He got into a fight with the policemen, and two of them were hurt. He even bit one of the local police officers in the face. Even so, the officers were able to calm him down, and all three people were arrested and sent to the station for processing.
Before she was put in jail, the woman was sent to a hospital to make sure that the right health steps were taken for her and the foetus.
The people that are being held are two men, ages 27 and 37, and a woman, age 44. They were all being looked into for drug trafficking. Also, the 27-year-old male who fought arrest was charged with attacking a police officer.
The detainees had a 53.3-gram rock of cocaine with a high level of purity, a nugget of hashish, a joint, 150 euros that were possibly from the sale, a cell phone, and the car they used to do the crime.
The three men who were arrested were taken to Orihuela’s Court of Instruction number 2, which ordered their release with charges.
