In the municipality of Yunquera in the province of Málaga, the Guardia Civil has arrested a 43-year-old man for the murder of a 63-year-old male. The suspect was arrested at their home on Thursday night, November 27th, but the news didn’t come out until Friday. Officers found blood on his clothes and in his car. The man who was arrested was taken into custody after going to court.
A family member of the dead person found his body on the floor of his home last Monday. They called the 112 Andalucía emergency services, who sent a medical team, but when they got there, they could only confirm that he had died. Several Guardia Civil patrols also went to the house and found evidence that the death was violent. This led to an investigation to find out what happened. The body was taken to the Institute of Legal Medicine (IML) in Málaga for an autopsy.
Pedro Fernández, the Deputy Government Delegate in Andalusia, stated the next day that there was proof that the individual had been killed and that there were clear signs that he had been beheaded. Javier Salas, the Deputy Government Delegate in Málaga, said that all possibilities were open, but that the main line of investigation was murder.
Finally, on Thursday night, the Guardia Civil detained a 43-year-old man who lived in the Malaga municipality and was thought to be the person who did it. Investigators found blood on his clothes and in his car when they searched his home. It is still not clear if the blood is from the victim. Sources close to the case stress that the murder weapon has not been found yet. The probe is still going on.
