The electric scooter training programme is the main new feature of the municipal road safety education park. The Councillor for Education and Citizen Services, Belén López, said this during her visit to the “Rosario Moreno Saura” space with the Councillor for Citizen Security and Emergencies, Fulgencio Perona. The programme has gotten eight of these vehicles for high school students in Murcia to use.
The park got roughly 60,000 euros to make improvements and add new things, such as eight electric scooters, three children’s bikes, a go-kart, new signage, 2,590 reflective components, and 3,000 road safety educational materials.
The asphalt has been redone over 1,890 square metres, and all the signs have been rebuilt. These are in addition to improvements made to the public address system to improve communication during practices.
The park features 40 bikes for kids and adults, 7 tricycles for adults, and 2 cars for people with limited mobility, in addition to the new equipment.
The ‘Rosario Moreno Saura’ park has been teaching schoolchildren about traffic rules and road safety since 1985. This school year, 2025/26, 3,790 schoolchildren from the municipality will learn about road safety through a combination of theory and practice on the circuit.
