The Christmas holidays are coming up, and so are the gifts from Santa Claus and the Three Kings. Spaniards use these two holidays to give their loved ones gifts that they usually look for weeks ahead of time, seeking deals and comparing prices. However, there is always someone who waits until the last minute to buy everything. Even though prices are going up this year, people are still expected to go shopping.
Aladinia.com says that each Spaniard will spend about 240 euros on Christmas gifts. Seven gifts will be given to the ordinary Spaniard. This year, clothes, shoes, and accessories will once again be the most popular gifts. But in 2025, travel is becoming more popular among them.
But people’s behaviours are changing. According to Aladinia.com, only 6% of people will only shop in stores, while 30% would only shop online. The other 64% will use both methods.
Other reports, like the one from Webloyalty, which looked at how people in Spain shopped online during the Christmas season, back up this tendency. It shows that this year, 38% of the gifts that Santa Claus and the Three Wise Men would ask online stores to send will be gadgets, 16% will be beauty and wellness products, and 16% will be trip plans.
