According to reports from the Guardia Civil, the two men who were arrested for killing two people after barricading themselves inside a house in La Marina, Elche (Alicante) have been hauled before a judge after delivering statements to the police. The Elche Court of Instruction Number 3 is now in charge of both of the people who were arrested.
According to officials from the Guardia Civil, the two men had tried to take over the residence where the events took place twice before.
The Polish nationals who were arrested were 19 and 35 years old. They were placed in different cells following their arrest so they couldn’t talk to each other.

On Tuesday, December 23rd, the men were arrested after spending many hours locked up in the home of a German citizen in a quiet part of the Marina district. The homeowner told three other Germans that he had seen the burglars on security cameras during another attempt to break in.
When the homeowner’s friends tried to get the squatters to leave, they were assaulted so violently that two men, aged 62 and 50, died and another 50-year-old man was hurt gravely.

Neighbours heard and saw the attackers being violent and hurried out to get aid. The first people they found were a Guardia Civil patrol.
The guards found the people who had done it and recognised them as people who had been detained not long before for trying to break into the same property, which they had done twice before.
The two people who were arrested for the crime had already been in trouble with the police in the city a few days before.
They broke into a car dealership near the Martínez Valero stadium last Friday. After breaking into a parked car, they stole a Santa hat, chewing gum, and other things that weren’t worth much.
The police arrested the suspect at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, approximately 20 hours after the crime. The court in charge of the case has said that the proceedings must be kept secret.
