The Calpe City Council has already started construction on building a police station at the Plaza del Mediterráneo, on La Fossa beach. The goal is to make this part of the Calpe coastline safer for everyone.
The new building is set to open during the Sant Josep holiday weekend. It is a 15-square-metre module that will be a key place for monitoring and helping people in an area that gets a lot of tourists, especially in the summer.
The station will let authorities get to know beachgoers better, and it will be able to handle both reports and missing property. The city council wants to make people feel even safer on the Calpe shoreline by doing this. This would help tourists and residents feel even safer.
