Two males, ages 30 and 32, have been arrested in Alicante by the National Police for their alleged role in cocaine trafficking. The police operation led to the confiscation of a number of drugs, including cocaine, hashish, and marijuana, as well as the shutting down of a significant drug distribution centre in the city centre.
The investigation started after getting tips about a man who was supposedly selling drugs from his residence in the city centre, which was bothering a lot of people who lived nearby.
After looking over the information and figuring out who the man was, multiple surveillance operations were set up near the address that was being looked into.
After it was determined that this person was selling drugs, the police set up an operation that led to his arrest in a public spot.
When he was arrested, authorities took 20 grammes of cocaine from him. He informed them that he had just gotten it from another individual.
The officers used the information this man gave them to find and arrest the individual who gave him the drug. They caught him in the act of selling drugs and arrested him.
After he was caught, authorities searched his house and found more than 250 grammes of cocaine, around 2500 grammes of hashish, and 12 grammes of marijuana.
After the police finished their work, one of the people they arrested was sent to the duty investigating courts in Alicante.
The National Police say again that they are dedicated to stopping drug trafficking. They tell people that working together is very important for finding and getting rid of these drug-selling spots in cities. People are asked to phone 091, go to the website www.policia.es, or send an email to antidroga@policia.es if they see anything strange.
