The Guardia Civil has arrested a 40-year-old man into custody in the town of Cox. The Courts of Orihuela had ordered him to be searched, arrested, and imprisoned.
In the middle of November 2025, agents from the Guardia Civil of Callosa de Segura’s Investigation Area found out that the Courts of Orihuela had ordered the search, arrest, and detention of a person. They then set up several devices to find him.
The person who the order was filed against had many police records and was known for being violent. This led to the decision to put in place extra security measures to protect both the agents and the people who lived in the area.
A special security operation was set up after it was confirmed that the suspect had been hiding in a house in the municipality of Cox for several days. This operation included citizen security patrols, personnel from the Investigation Area and the Citizen Security Unit (USECIC) of Torrevieja, and its drone team.
Because of the intervention, the agents went into the residence to make the arrest. They found the person hiding in one of the rooms and arrested him without any problems.
Ultimately, the Orihuela Courts sentenced the apprehended 40-year-old Spaniard to prison.
