According to data from Aena, Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández Airport reported 19,950,394 passengers in 2025. This is an increase of 8.5% over the previous year and puts the terminal less than 50,000 passengers away from hitting 20 million.
According to the same source, air traffic has also hit all-time highs, with 126,081 movements in 2025—8.4% more than in 2024.
With 17,458,244 travellers, the international market—which accounts for 88% of the total—has grown by 10.6%, while the local market has shrunk by 4% to 2,475,216 customers.
According to Aena, the United Kingdom leads the list of originating nations in international traffic with 6,553,349 passengers, followed by Germany (1,242,657), the Netherlands (1,235,605), Belgium (1,035,375), and Poland (1,023,583).
With 1,318,828 passengers—8.4% more than in the same month of 2024—and 9,157 movements—a 9% increase over the same period last year—December 2025 was yet another remarkable month for the airport.
