The Finestrat Town Council is already working on the environmental authorisation for building a private hospital next to the commercial boulevard. The hospital will cost 52 million euros and contain 112 beds. The project is still waiting for approval from the Valencian Regional Government, but it is still moving forward at the municipal level. The Town Council has made the fundamental and operational project plans available for public inspection. These plans were signed in July 2025 and officially authorised on November 3rd, 2025. These blueprints show what the healthcare centre will look like if it gets all the permits it needs.
The project is in the area between Carrer d’Alacant, Carrer de Gandía, and Carrer de Catral. The property registry says it has an area of 12,911 square metres, while official records say it has 13,301 square metres. Municipal technicians have confirmed this number and decided to include it in the plot’s urban planning boundaries. This site is 2.6 km from Hospital Marina Baixa, the regional public healthcare centre, and close to Media Markt.
Beemed Finestrat SL is the company behind this initiative. It was founded in May 2024, has its main office in Finestrat, and has a share capital of €3,000. Its claimed purpose is to develop real estate, rent out properties on its own, and build homes. Lela Bolkvadze is the only director of the company. She is also the proprietor of Lela World, another company. Sener and Aidhos worked together to design the project, which is called “Hospital de Finestrat.” This same group is also working on other projects, such the new hospital in Málaga. The study says that the private healthcare sector is very interested in the combination of strong purchasing power and an ageing population. It goes on to say that, according to conservative estimates, the number of foreign residents who are not registered is around 1.5 times higher than the number of individuals who are registered. “This is a unique market niche for the private healthcare sector.” They say that most unregistered non-residents have private insurance from another nation or pay for their medical care out of their own pockets or get money back in their home country.
Beemed’s proposed Functional Plan shows that the company offers many different services, including allergology, gastroenterology, cardiology, palliative care, endocrinology, geriatrics, haematology and hemotherapy, physical medicine and rehabilitation, intensive care medicine, internal medicine, nephrology, neonatology, pulmonology, neurology, clinical neurophysiology, medical oncology, paediatrics, psychiatry, rheumatology, and emergency medicine. Immunology, nuclear medicine, and preventative medicine are just a few of the numerous fields it covers. It also provides services in anaesthesiology and resuscitation, angiology and vascular surgery, cardiac surgery, general and digestive surgery, oral and maxillofacial surgery, orthopaedic surgery and traumatology, plastic, aesthetic, and reconstructive surgery, fertility, gynaecology and obstetrics, neurosurgery, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, and urology.
The useable surface area of the functional programme is 16,310.06 square metres. When you include the 4,034.68 square meters of parking, you get a total of 20,344.74 square meters.
It plans to have five VIP rooms and 107 regular single rooms, for a total of 112 beds. There will also be 12 ICU bays, 12 PACU bays, eight observation beds for adults, four observation beds for children, six observation chairs for adults, six observation chairs for children, four regular operating rooms, two hybrid operating rooms, and two backup operating rooms. There are also 153 parking places available.
They think that once the foundation stone is put, it will take 24 months to build, but it could take up to 36 months depending on the final building methods and the resources available to finish. The entire cost of building is expected to be €52,313,800.
