This September, La Nucia’s normally peaceful streets will be transformed into a heart-pounding survival zone as the town hosts its first-ever “Gincana Zombie”—a “full-scale, live-action horror game designed to plunge participants into a cinematic battle for survival against the undead.”
A Night of Survival in the Streets
The event will take place on Saturday, September 20th, 2025, beginning at 11:00pm and lasting until 4:00am. The event, organised by Last Day Zombie, an immersive entertainment company, in collaboration with La Nucia’s Youth Department, is expected to draw thrill seekers from all over the Costa Blanca.
In order to survive the night, participants will navigate the town’s streets, solving puzzles, dodging zombies, and completing up to 13 themed challenges. From chase sequences through alleyways to adrenaline-fuelled missions in public buildings, the event promises to be an unforgettable experience that combines street, theatre, escape room, and video game elements.

Not Just for Horror Fans—for Everyone Ages 10 to 99
Unlike many horror-themed events, La Nucia’s Zombie Gincana welcomes people of all ages, from 10 to 99 years old. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult, and those under 18 must bring a signed parental form and a copy of a guardian’s ID to participate.
This event is carefully designed to be intense and theatrical without being traumatic, allowing younger players to enjoy the suspense in a safe environment.
Tickets & How to Register
Early bird tickets are now available at a promotional price of €25, valid until August 31st. Registration can be completed online at the official website—www.lovezombies.es.
Group discounts are also available, encouraging friends and families to sign up together for this unique nighttime challenge.

A New Kind of Urban Adventure
The Zombie Gincana concept is more than just scares; it also emphasises teamwork, problem-solving, and physical activity. The game is intended to get people moving around town, exploring urban spaces from a new perspective, while also providing a story-driven experience that combines suspense, strategy, and surprise.
Sebastian Gomez, one of the organisers of Last Day Zombie, described it as “a way to live in your own movie, where you become the protagonist in a world turned upside-down.”
Youth councillor Maria Jesus Jumilla expressed her enthusiasm, saying, “We’re proud to provide a new and engaging alternative for young people’s leisure time—something active, social, and safe that brings our streets to life in a whole new way.”
A Night to Remember on the Costa Blanca
With live actors, haunting settings, and a dynamic game format, the Zombie Gincana in La Nucia looks to be one of the season’s most talked-about events. Whether you’re a zombie movie fan, a puzzle enthusiast, or simply looking for something unique to do on a Saturday night, this immersive experience is not to be missed.
Mark your calendars, gather your crew, and plan to survive the night—if you can!
