This is a fun and easy no-bake dessert that’s a classic for Halloween parties. The “dirt” is made of crushed chocolate cookies, and the “worms” are gummy worms that peek out from the top.

Ingredients

. 1 packet of instnt chocolate pudding mix

. 2 cups cold milk

. 1 cup container frozen whipped topping, thawed

. 1 package oreo cookies

. 1 bag gummy worms

Instructions

Make the pudding: in a large mixing bowl, combine the instant chocolate pudding mix and cold milk. Whisk for about 2 minutes. Allow 5 minutes to set.

Fold the thawed whipped topping into the custard mixture until completely combined and there are no streaks left.

Layer the Dessert: Arrange the ingredients in a large, clear bowl or in individual clear cups. Begin with a layer of crushed Oreo cookies on the bottom, followed by a layer of custard mixture and finally another layer of cookies. Repeat until you reach the top, and finish with a layer of crushed Oreos.

Add the Worms: Gently push some gummy worms into the top layer of "dirt" until they are halfway in and halfway out, as if crawling from the ground.

Chill and Serve: Cover the dessert and refrigerate for at least 4 hours to allow it to fully set. Serve cool.
