Red Day: Tuesday, October 7th – The municipality of Rojales is currently hosting its annual patron saint fiestas in honour of the Virgen del Rosario. The local holiday tomorrow is the high point of this religious and cultural celebration, with activities centred on the town centre and the Malecon del Soto park area.
9am: San Pedro Apostol Parish Church
10am: The Santa Cecillia Music Band will parade through the streets, announcing the festive day.
10:30am The Cuevas de Rojales association hosts bouncy castles, games, and art workshops along Malecon del Soto.
19:00 San Pedro Apostol Parish Church. This is the main religious service, which is frequently attended by local authorities.
20:00: A solemn procession carrying the statue of the Virgen del Rosario along the traditional route, accompanied by the music band and traditional pipes and drums.
End of procession: A large fireworks castle will be launched near the main day of the fiesta.
Note: The Virgen del Rosario festivities take place from October 4th to October 11th, with bars and food stalls open nightly on the Malecon del Soto.
