To encourage physical activity among residents of all ages and enhance overall wellbeing, the Dénia City Council’s Department of Sports has started three new theoretical-practical programs. These free and accessible programs complement other hands-on activities that the department already offers, such Mou-te, Esport als barris, Dénia Camina, or Dénia En Moviment.
All skill levels will be able to take advantage of activities like functional fitness, dancing, and nutrition as part of this program.
The public is welcome to attend any session, and registration is not necessary in advance. The following are the dates and activities that are planned:
The day of functional training is Friday, February 28. 11:00 a.m. The Joan Fuster Pavilion. Strength and elasticity exercises are performed in a group setting to enhance overall physical capability and muscle health.
Dance day is Wednesday, March 26. 11:00 a.m. The Joan Fuster Pavilion. Recreational activities for groups that are intended to increase coordination, flexibility, and enjoyment while engaging in physical activity.
Thursday, April 24: The day of nutrition. 11:00 a.m. Plaza Jaume I, Dénia: Casa de la Cultura. Dietary planning and health advice to support a balanced diet and improve the effects of exercise.
According to Valen Alcalà , the Councillor for Sports: “We wanted to offer a complement to some of the initiatives we already have underway, such as Mou-te or Esport als barris, so that everyone interested can incorporate physical activity into their routine, also adding a theoretical day dedicated to nutrition and health, prior to the talks on healthy habits that we will carry out again.”
