A forest fire broke out near the Mascarat tunnel, at kilometre 630 of the AP-7, necessitating the deployment of multiple ground and air forces.
The fire began in a region with extensive dry vegetation and threatened to spread quickly, prompting a fast response by the Alicante Provincial Fire Consortium. The intervention began at 1:05 p.m.

Specialised units from Denia and Benissa parks have been dispatched to the location, including a command and leadership unit (UMJ), a heavy mothership (BNP), a heavy rural unit (BRP), and a heavy forestry unit.
Additionally, emergency officials dispatched two forest firefighting units (FFU) and two aerial vehicles to assist in controlling the fire and preventing its spread.
There were no injuries reported in the incident, and emergency officials are keeping the situation under control to avoid outbreaks.
