Quirónsalud Torrevieja Hospital, as the official medical provider for the national tournament between medical groups, will protect the health of almost 500 participants in the National Medical Football Championship. The 31st edition of the competition will take place from June 12th to 14th at Torrevieja and Pilar de la Horadada.
The national championship is a tournament that extends beyond football: a well-known event that brings together health, sport, science, and coexistence in a unique setting. In addition to the sporting events, participants will have the opportunity to engage in parallel leisure and social activities, as well as a closing event with a trophy presentation. This event will take place on Saturday, June 14th, and will serve as the culmination of this sports and medical celebration.
The winner of the 31st National Medical Football Championship will compete in this year’s World Cup, which will be held in Ireland. The proceedings will continue with presentations on therapeutic exercise for cancer patients, the awarding of the Never Surrender Foundation commemorative trophy, workshops on performance monitoring and fatigue in sports, and the organising committee’s findings.
Science and sports go hand in hand
Parallel to the tournament, the Scientific Conference on Sport and Health will be conducted, providing a professional meeting place for doctors and specialists to discuss knowledge, developments, and research on sports practice and its impact on health.
