4-year-old boy dies after falling into a swimming pool in Mijas

According to the 112 Emergency Service, a 4-year-old kid died yesterday morning, Tuesday June 24th, in a swimming pool in Mijas.

The incident occurred at a property in the La Alquería residential neighbourhood at 9:15 a.m., when a witness contacted the coordination centre about a youngster who had previously fallen into a pool and was rescued from the water, according to 112 sources.

The Guardia Civil, local police, and the 061 Health Emergency Centre were sent to the scene and verified the child’s death following unsuccessful cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) attempts.
